Netcord Provides Special Weekend for Local Up and Coming Junior Player
Netcord was pleased to be able to provide a little glimpse into the world of professional tennis for local up and coming junior player Patrick Sklenka of Cumming, GA. by inviting him to be our special guest at the Infinite Energy Atlanta Challenge. This event included a Friday night exhibition match and three days of the Australian Open Wildcard Playoffs, all taking place at Racquet Club of the South Dec 4-7.
Patrick is currently ranked #4 in the South in the 10 age group and won the State Qualifier in Macon in June.
We provided Patrick credentials that got
him courtside for the Friday night exhibition featuring Melanie Oudin, the Bryan Brothers, John Isner and Sam Querrey. He also had access to the three days of Australian Open playoff matches which he attended all of, including the finals on Monday night.
Here is what Patrick had to say about the favorite parts of his experience:
"watching the exhibition and seeing how big John Isner and Sam Querrey are and how hard they hit, watching what a great team the Bryan brothers are, and most of all watching how great Ryan Harrison is and he's only a few years older than I am. I wanna be like him when I get older and play in that event."
We wish Patrick the best of luck in his promising tennis journey.
Below are a couple pictures of Patrick from his most recent national tournament in Chattanooga, TN.
