Team Roles - Part 2
In continuation from last months tip, there is one more thing that Captains can do in the Team Roles section. If you would like for one or more players on your team to have the same access as you do to set lineups, update results, etc., all you need to do is enter the Team Roles section and set the Captain Assistant column to be "Yes" for any players you want to have this privilege. This is a great feature for Captains who might travel during the week or just want the CoCaptain, Pro, or other player to help them with the management of the team.

| Finally, the Davis Cup has returned to the United States. Everyone should know by now that the United States recently defeated Russia to win the hallowed Davis Cup. It has been twelve long years since Pete Sampras almost single-handedly defeated another Russian squad to win tennis's greatest trophy. Congratulations to Andy Roddick, James Blake and the Bryan brothers, Mike and Bob, for an early Christmas present. Defending the title next year might be a little tough, though. You can bet that if the tie is played anywhere other than on our home courts the surface is going to be red clay, or something even slower if such a surface exists (is there anything slower than red clay?). "The Boys" are a virtual lock against 99% of the teams they would face in the doubles point, that's a gimme. Although I'm not a big Andy Roddick fan he earns high praise for always being there for Davis Cup duty and seems to play some of his best matches then. James Blake is always a gamble, especially if the match has to go to a fifth set. Thank goodness he was able to end his match against Mikhail Youznhy in four sets. But for now "We are the champions" and that's all that counts. |

 Turkey Sausage Puffs
(These rolls are so ridiculously easy and people love them because they've got protein, not messy and they are filling)
1 package pre-cooked turkey sausage (Healthy Choice or Butterball are good brands)
2 containers refrigerated crescent rolls
3 tb. jarred spicy mustard
Preheat oven to 375.
Slice the sausage into 1 inch slices. Put in a microwave bowl and cook the sausage uncovered for 1 minute.
Put one sausage and 1 ts. of mustard on each crescent roll and place on a greased cookie pan (or use alum. foil for an easier clean-up).
Bake according to directions on crescent roll package or until light brown, but half way through cooking flip them so each side turns light brown.
Serve with an extra bowl of mustard.
Can be served warm or room temp. |
