Our next Ladies' Day Clinic is scheduled for Friday August 22 at Fieldstone Subdivision. Shane's Ribshack will cater with great eats as always. It will be a Prince demo day with Jet Golf and Tennis, Maui Jim sunglasses and LeeJay apparel and other sponsors present for some great shopping. League Tennis will also provide a $20 coupon to be used on future league play for all those who attend. More info and registration.

The second annual thrill ride of tennis is back at the Gwinnett Center on Saturday, December 13, 2008. The Battle of the Brothers will unfold before cheering crowds when the world’s #1 doubles team, the Bryan Brothers, duke it out against Atlanta’s own former French Open champions, the Jensen Brothers! Following this dramatic showdown will be a match of epic proportions, featuring tennis star James Blake and America’s next hope, Sam Querrey.

>> The Club at John's Creek In keeping with our tradition of informing the Atlanta tennis playing community of major happenings, Netcord wanted to make everyone aware of The Club at Johns Creek scheduled to open in late spring 2009. It will be the first private/public facility designed to accommodate the individual needs of all players. It will feature 18 courts, six being indoor, with red and green clay and grass courts. Child care services, fitness training, massage therapy, a full service pro shop, weekly events and more will all be available on site. | Recipe of the Month |
Kelley's Cracker Candy
This is a great desert snack for your matches and extremely easy to make.
- saltines
- 2 sticks of butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 bag of Reeses peanut butter chips
- 1/2 bag of mini chocolate chips
- nuts are optional
Preheat oven to 350.
Put foil on cookie sheet and lay out saltines so they cover the cookie sheet (in single layer).
Melt butter; add sugar and boil for 3 minutes.
Pour butter/sugar over the saltines and bake on 350 for 15 minutes or until caramel color.
Immediately pour peanut butter chips over the saltines and spread over the saltines. (let chips sit for a minute- spread better).
Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips on top of the peanut butter chips. (nuts are optional).
Promptly place in refrigerator.
Break apart once cool.
