>> Netcord Mixed Doubles Clinic set for June 22
Friday, June 22nd Netcord.com and Visionary Tennis will be hosting a Friday evening mixed doubles clinic at the Concourse Athletic Club. Wild Wing Cafe will provide the food and Budweiser beer and Margaritas will be available after the drill session. Prizes will be awarded and fun will be had by all. >> USTA State Champions Long Time Netcord Users
The Bunten Road Park Men's 3.5 team has just won the State Championship and will be going to Mobile in July for the Sectional Title. The team was 22-3 in group competition last weekend in route to winning state, dropping only 8 sets in the process. Captain Mike Hammond had this to say, "Our teams began using Netcord in the spring of 2002 in the PATA USTA league, and won a state bid with that squad also. I have captained, co-captained or played on 19 teams that have utilized the Netcord service and will always do so if I am part of the decision making process. It makes running a competitive team as simple as it could ever be."
With a win in the Sectionals in Mobile in July, the team will then be on its way to Las Vegas in October with hopes of winning the National Chanpionship. Netcord congratulates the team on its success this far and wishes the team luck in its bid for the Sectional and then National Championship. Netcord will be sponsoring the team on these trips and help cover travel expenses through our donations. Good luck guys and bring home that National Championship!

Don't forget that each user has the ability to hide any of your old teams on your main login page. Most users have many, many teams from over the years listed on their Main login page (which we call the PUC or personal user console). You normally only need to be looking at the team(s) for the current or upcoming season(s) so just hide the old teams to keep your PUC clean and organized. To hide any teams, just click the gray "Hide" button next to the team in question. Don't worry, it isn't gone for good. All you need to do is check the yes button under "View Hidden Teams/Divisions" and they will reappear. If you want to unhide any team at any point, just view the hidden teams and click the "Show" button. It's that easy.

| Recipe of the Month |
Kelley's Cracker Candy
This is a great desert snack for your matches and extremely easy to make.
- saltines
- 2 sticks of butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 bag of Reese‚s peanut butter chips
- 1/2 bag of mini chocolate chips
- Nuts are optional
Preheat oven to 350.
Put foil on cookie sheet and lay out saltines so they cover the cookie sheet (in single layer).
Melt butter; add sugar and boil for 3 minutes.
Pour butter/sugar over the saltines and bake on 350 for 15 minutes or until caramel color.
Immediately pour peanut butter chips over the saltines and spread over the saltines. (let chips sit for a minute- spread better).
Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips on top of the peanut butter chips. (nuts are optional).
Promptly place in refrigerator. Break apart once cool. |
