Week one of the French Open is coming to a close. Federer struggled in the 2nd round but managed to pull through. Here's hoping he can get it together and win a slam over Nadal for a change. The Bryan Bros are into the second round and let's hope they can break their recent string of losses and win another slam here at Roland Garros.

Grilled Eggplant and Zucchini with Feta Dip

- Juice of 1 lemon
- 3 tb. olive oil
- 1 ts. salt
- 1 ts. black pepper
- 1/4 ts. cumin (optional)

Slice one large eggplant in 1/4 inch slices. Slice 4 medium zucchini lengthwise, about 1/4 inch thick slices. Brush the marinade on the eggplant and zucchini. Grill the veggies on an hot outdoor grill, or a George Foreman type grill, etc.... for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Be careful not to overcook the eggplant because it will fall apart.

To make dip: In a bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of chopped feta, 2 ts. dried parsley, 1/2 cup of plain yogurt, 2 ts. red wine vinegar, 1 ts. salt, 1 ts. pepper.

As always, good luck in your matches.
