Well the guys at Visionary Tennis Leagues are winding up their first season in Atlanta and are planning a party to celebrate.The Visionary Tennis Player’s Party is scheduled for Saturday November 5th, at Collins Hill Athletic Club in Lawrenceville with all current and future league players invited. The itinerary will be loaded with contests (bring your racquet), raffles, food and free prizes for all in attendance. The Visionary Tennis year end event, recognized as the Tournament of Champions, will be featured throughout the day, so check out some of your future competition as well as a professional doubles exhibition match The Player’s Party will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Visionary Tennis and their plans for the future (Hint: They are about lots of fun and lots of big prizes for playing tennis). Coaches Curing Kids Cancer was inspired by Killian Owen, a little boy who had leukemia. It is a great way for sports teams to honor their coach and at the same time make a donation to help find a cure for pediatric cancer. Click on EDIT MY PROFILE and update any of your information. Doing this keeps your information current and is a huge help to your captain.

Black Bean Wraps
2 8 oz. package(s) cream cheese, softened
2 cup(s) Jalapeño Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1/2 cup(s) reduced fat sour cream
1 teaspoon(s) onion salt
2 15 oz. can(s) black beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup(s) salsa
12 flour tortillas, 8-inch
1 10 oz. package(s) spinach, fresh
2 7 oz. roasted red peppers, jars, drained & coarsely chopped
Directions:
Beat first 4 ingredients in a large bowl at medium speed until thoroughly blended. Set aside.
Process beans and salsa in a food processor until smooth, scrape bowl.
Spread bean mixture evenly over tortillas; top each evenly with cheese mixture, spinach, and peppers.
Roll tortillas tightly; wrap each in plastic wrap. Chill, if desired. Serve with salsa.
Cheese and bean mixture can be prepared ahead, but assemble the wraps no more than four hours ahead, cover, chill and serve.

| The madness has begun and I'm afraid we are not talking about the fabled basketball tournament that begins in March. The ATP Tour has begun implementing the new set score system for doubles at recent tournaments. For instance, take a look at the results for the recently completed BA-CA Trophy tournament in Vienna. One of the Heroes of the Huddled Masses Ivan Ljubicic defeated Juan Carlos Ferrero in the single's final 6-2, 6-4, 7-6. A straight set triumph in a best of five final. But for the uninitiated to glance at the double's final score one would end up shaking his head in confusion. Daniel Nestor and Mark Knowles defeated Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram 5-3, 5-4. What the Hell kind of tennis score is that? Is it a typo or did they just forget to play the last game of each set? Of course we all know that it is the moronic new scoring for doubles where tie breaks are played at four all and the set is the first team to win five games instead of the universally accepted until recently six games. 5-3, 5-4 should be the score for a Braves doubleheader, not the score for a match between four of the world's best doubles players. |
