Playoffs has just started for the teams that did well this Fall season and one of the questions we often get asked is how do I update my playoff dates? Simple, log into your teamsite, go to your Schedule page, click the "Edit Schedule" button, make your updates and then click the "Update Schedule" button. That's it, you are all done. Good luck to all those teams in the playoffs.

| This space is usually reserved for some mention of the tennis world, and this month will be no exception. Roger Federer loses a final to his personal nemesis David Nalbandian but wins the Swiss Indoors the following week. The Bryan Brothers continue to have one of the greatest years ever for a doubles team. Daniela Hantuchova wins her second Sony Ericsson title of the year and in doing so qualifies for the year end championships and Anna Kournikova is still hot as H......... let's just say she is still hot. But I'm also going to throw out some other sports stories just to make sure you're paying attention. Remember years ago when I said that Randy Moss would be the greatest wide receiver ever? Well this year he's proving it. Of course it helps to have Tom Brady throwing you the ball. The Red Sox will win the World Series, game four is getting ready to start as I write this. At this rate there will not be a single unbeaten college football team left by the end of the season, not counting Hawaii who, I think, had a couple of Pop Warner teams on their schedule. The Thrashers are off to a slow start and the Hawks haven't started at all yet. Let's see, I covered tennis, baseball, football, hockey and basketball, all the major sports going on at the time being. Before all you golfers start screaming about the omission of golf from this column remember I said we were talking about sports. Golf does not qualify. Have a safe and scary Halloween. |

Recipe of the Month

 Couscous with Chick Peas and Mint (serves 10 as a side dish)
1 box instant couscous
1 can Chick Peas
1/4 cup of fresh mint, chopped
1/2 ts. salt
1/2 ts. cumin (optional)
juice from 1/2 lemon
3 tb. olive oil
1/2 ts. black pepper
Cook couscous according to directions. Do not overcook. Put cooked couscous in a serving bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients. Toss gently.
This is a great recipe to take to your matches because it is served room temp. |
