Coaches Curing Kids Cancer was inspired by Killian Owen, a little boy who had leukemia. It is a great way for sports teams to honor their coach and at the same time make a donation to help find a cure for pediatric cancer. November 18th and 19th, the Brighter Future Foundation will hold the 3rd Annual 'A Return of Service' Charity Fundraiser in Atlanta. Once again there will be a host of active and former ATP stars participating in a two day festival of tennis all intended to raise funds for the Foundation and its beneficiaries. For the past few years, Brian's friend, Andy Roddick has been on hand to help create the excitement. Illegal Lineup Notification. On the lineup page of the teamsites, Captains are now notified if they make an illegal lineup. Stop worrying about violating the sandbagging rules and let Netcord keep track for you.

If you are a captain, you can set one or more players on your team to have access to help you input schedules, lineups, results, etc. if needed. Just log in, enter your team, and click the "Team Roles" link on the left had side of your team page. Click the "Edit Team Roles" button and then place a "Yes" in the Captain's Assistant column for any players that you would like to have access. Click the "Update Team Roles" button and you are all set. Use this feature for when you are out of town or if you just want your co-captain or any other player on the team to help you out with the team management.

Cheater Dessert -
Brownie Cheesecakes
Servings: 20
1 brownie mix
1 no-bake cheesecake mix
Directions:Prepare no-bake cheesecake mix as directed and refrigerate. Prepare brownies as directed in a mini-muffin pan.
When brownies are done, “mush” down the centers (with spoon or thumb) to form cups. Using a ziploc bag as a pastry bag, squeeze cheesecake mixture into the brownie cups. Place cherries or strawberries on top, & serve.

| Ok so now what do we do with the blatant manipulation of the injury rules in the pro game. For the uninformed, upon a real (or faked) injury a player is allotted three minutes for the injury to be diagnosed and another three minutes for treatment of the injury. Technically, Mary Pierce was within her rights to take twelve minutes after the first set of her semifinal at the Open against Dementiava. She claimed two injuries (thigh and back) and so received a twelve minute injury timeout. Of course she waited until after the first set (in which she was clearly being outplayed) to do so. All for injuries she claimed happened in her quarterfinal match against Mauresmo. If already injured why not have them wrapped prior to your next match? Now, I am not saying that her injuries were faked. I am merely questioning the timing. It is too easy to stay within the rules and request an injury timeout to disrupt the momentum of your opponent. Andrew Murray had a 21 minute (21 minutes!) timeout in his match against Clement. Granted, he barfed on court and that had to be cleaned up but should he not have been defaulted after six minutes? Clearly, something in the rules needs to be changed. |
